Get cold air moving again with the Four Seasons A/C Compressor 57234, a remanufactured GM R4 unit that draws in low-pressure refrigerant vapor, compresses it, and drives it through the air-conditioning system. It's a direct-fit replacement for the listed mid-1980s GM applications, including the 1984 Oldsmobile Omega, 1985 Buick Regal, 1985-1988 Chevrolet Caprice, 1985-1987 Pontiac Grand Prix, 1985-1986 and 1989 Pontiac Firebird, and the 1985 and 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.

This unit ships with its clutch installed, using a single-groove V-belt pulley (5.5 in outside diameter, 0.500 in belt width) and a 12-volt clutch coil with a spade connector. A pressure switch is not included, and mounting hardware is not included — consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners. Signs the original compressor may need replacing include no cold air, a noisy or seized compressor, or a clutch that won't engage; if a failed compressor is the cause, this remanufactured unit replaces it.
