Four Seasons 36576 switch for the 1994-1998 Mercedes-Benz SL500 and other vehicles is a system-mounted condenser fan switch, the part that controls when the A/C condenser fan runs.

A condenser fan that never turns on or runs constantly, or weak cooling while the car sits still, are signs this switch may be involved, though the fan circuit has other parts that could be at fault too. With the engine off, look the switch and its connector over for corrosion, cracks or damage, and leave any running test of the fan circuit to a shop. If this switch is the cause, this one replaces it.
