Keep cab air blowing cold and refrigerant metering under control with the Four Seasons A/C Expansion Valve 39486. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2008 Freightliner Coronado, dropping into the air-conditioning system to manage refrigerant flow into the evaporator.
- Core job: Meters the flow of high-pressure liquid refrigerant entering the evaporator, regulating how much refrigerant passes based on cooling demand.
- System control: Helps maintain proper refrigerant pressure and temperature across the evaporator so the A/C system can cool as intended.
- Direct replacement: Serves as a replacement expansion valve for the listed application.
Signs the expansion valve may need replacing include weak or intermittent cooling, warm air from the vents, or frost forming on the A/C lines. These symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose the system before replacing — if a faulty expansion valve is the cause, this part replaces it.
