Keep the refrigerant metering steady in your A/C system with the Four Seasons A/C Orifice Tube (P/N 38641), the purple color-coded expansion device. It's a direct-fit replacement for a wide list of applications, including the 1994-1999 Dodge Dakota, 1994-1997 Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500, 1990-1992 Dodge Monaco, 1988-1992 Eagle Premier, 1993-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and many 2001-2010 International medium- and heavy-duty trucks — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
An orifice tube is the fixed metering device that restricts high-pressure liquid refrigerant as it flows into the evaporator, creating the pressure drop the system needs to cool. When the original tube clogs or its screen degrades, cooling can drop off; if a worn orifice tube is the cause, this replaces it.
Optional AAOT part 38903 is available, and for climates above 105 degrees Four Seasons offers the Severe Duty AAOT 38905.
Manufacturer part number 38641.
