It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1974-1975 Ford Maverick [All] and 1974-1975 Mercury Comet [All], acting as a filter that draws moisture and contaminants out of the air conditioning system — debris that flushing alone can't remove, which is why the drier is replaced whenever the system is opened.

  • Steel housing: a welded steel filter-drier body designed for leak-free, long-lasting service.
  • Desiccant drying: a desiccant bag absorbs moisture from the refrigerant; the desiccant is not replaceable, so the complete unit is renewed at service.
  • Ready to install: ships with the necessary gaskets, O-rings and seal (two O-rings, part 24606) plus a mounting bracket. Mounting hardware is not included, and there is no sight glass.
  • Connections: 3/8 in (0.375 in) male insert O-ring inlet and outlet.
