The receiver/filter drier acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the A/C system — debris that flushing alone cannot clear, which is why replacing the drier during service is important.
Because a leaking or "open" system can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, the drier should be replaced whenever the system is opened or serviced. Four Seasons notes that replacing the drier is also required to validate compressor warranty. Backed by decades of mobile A/C experience and produced in an ISO/TS16949 and ISO14001 certified facility.
What does an A/C receiver/filter drier do?
