Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier P/N:83041
Help keep moisture and contaminants out of the air conditioning system with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier / Filter Drier 33479, a steel filter drier with a desiccant bag that absorbs moisture from the refrigerant circuit. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1994-2002 Freightliner FL106, 1996-2002 Freightliner FL112 and 1995-2002 Freightliner FL50. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list. The part is listed under both names, A/C receiver drier and filter drier.
These driers are produced in an ISO/TS16949 and ISO14001 certified facility and are backed by Four Seasons' more than 50 years of mobile A/C experience. Four Seasons calls for replacing the drier any time the system is serviced. Replacement is also required to validate the compressor warranty.
Consider replacing the drier when the A/C system is opened for service or has been left leaking or open. It may also need replacing if weak cooling traces back to a saturated drier.
What does the Four Seasons 33479 receiver drier / filter drier do?
It removes moisture and contaminants from the A/C system that flushing cannot remove. A desiccant bag inside absorbs the moisture.
What comes with the 33479 drier?
The gaskets, o-rings and seal needed for installation are included with the steel filter drier.
When should the receiver drier be replaced?
Four Seasons calls for replacing the drier any time the A/C system is serviced. Replacement is also required to validate the compressor warranty.
Why can't I keep the old drier after the system has been open?
A leaking or open system can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, which leaves the drier ineffective at absorbing moisture.
Which trucks does the Four Seasons 33479 fit?
It fits many Freightliner trucks, among them the 1994-2002 Freightliner FL106, 1996-2002 Freightliner FL112 and 1995-2002 Freightliner FL50. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
