Keep your A/C cool, dry, and clean with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier, MPN 83031, an aluminum filter drier with a pad mount that drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2004-2009 Mazda 3, 2004-2009 Mazda 3 (Model), 2009 Mazda 3 Sport, 2011-2014 Mazda 2, and 2006-2010 Mazda 5. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full engine-level list.
- Aluminum filter drier with pad mount: built from aluminum with a pad-style mount to match the original installation.
- Leak-free construction: quality welds are used for a durable, leak-free design.
- Moisture control: a high-quality desiccant bag absorbs moisture for appropriate absorption within the system.
- Ready to install: the necessary gaskets, o-rings, and seal are included.
The filter drier acts as a filter by removing moisture and contaminants from the air conditioning system — contaminants that flushing alone cannot remove, which is why replacing the drier is essential. A leaking or open system can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, so replacing the drier any time the system is serviced helps keep it effective and is required to validate the compressor warranty.
