Description

Keep moisture and debris out of your air conditioning system with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier 83358, an aluminum filter drier with a pad-style mount. It installs as a direct-fit replacement across a wide range of Mercedes-Benz models, including the 2006-2007 C230, C280 and C350, 2008-2009 CLK350, 2006-2011 CLS500, 2003-2009 E320 and E500, and 2005-2009 SLR McLaren — see the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full 22-application list and engine details.

Filters and dries: Acts as a filter that removes moisture and contaminants from the A/C system — contaminants that cannot be cleared by flushing, which is why replacing the drier is essential during service.
High-quality desiccant: A desiccant bag absorbs system moisture; the unit uses high-quality desiccant for appropriate absorption.
Durable, leak-free build: Quality welds and an aluminum housing help resist leaks for long-lasting performance.
Ready to install: Necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal are included for easy installation.

Replacing the receiver drier is required to validate the compressor warranty and should be done any time the system is opened, since a leaking or open system can saturate the desiccant within hours.

Buyer's Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this receiver drier do?

It acts as a filter that removes moisture and contaminants from the A/C system. It uses a desiccant bag to absorb moisture that flushing cannot remove, helping protect the rest of the system.

Are gaskets and o-rings included?

Yes. The necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal are included for easy installation.

Does this fit my Mercedes-Benz?

It's cataloged for 22 Mercedes-Benz applications, including the C230, CLK350, CLS500, E320, E500 and SLR McLaren. Check the "Vehicles it fits" section to confirm your exact year, model and engine.

Do I need to replace the drier when servicing the A/C?

Yes. Four Seasons notes it must be replaced any time the system is serviced, and replacement is required to validate the compressor warranty.

Why can a leaking system ruin the drier?

A leaking or open system can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, making the drier ineffective, so the system should be sealed and serviced promptly.
