Oily residue at the hose ends, warm air from the vents or a system that keeps losing refrigerant can mean a leak somewhere in the A/C circuit. With the engine off, look over the hose and its crimped ends for oil film, cracks or rubbed spots, and leave leak testing to a shop. If this hose is the cause, it replaces the failed one.
