Keep your dash vents directing air where you set it with the Four Seasons HVAC Defrost Mode Door Actuator / HVAC Mode Door Actuator 73512. This electric actuator drives the mode door inside the HVAC case, positioning it to route airflow to the defrost, panel, or floor outlets in response to your climate-control settings. It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2003-2009 Lexus GX470, 2003-2009 Toyota 4Runner, and 2007-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment.
- Includes: lever arm, gear, cam gear, hardware, and linkage as applicable.
- Internal build: quality internal motor, drive gears, electronics, and connections.
- Validated: tested for function, durability, and longevity.
- Four Seasons backing: built on over 50 years of mobile A/C experience.
Signs the mode door actuator may need replacing include air that only blows from one set of outlets regardless of the setting, a clicking or knocking sound from behind the dash, or airflow that no longer switches between defrost, vent, and floor. Because these symptoms can have other causes, diagnose the actuator before replacing it.
