Raybestos R-Line non-plated calipers are remanufactured OE parts. Each casting, guide pin and bracket is carefully inspected before it is reused, and all rubber and sealing components are replaced with new ones. Every caliper is then rigorously tested. A disc brake caliper uses hydraulic pressure to push its piston and clamp the pads against the rotor. On this floating design, the caliper slides on its guide pins so that both pads meet the rotor.
