Gates Engine Timing Chain Kit P/N:CHK143A
Gates CHK126 timing chain kit for the 2007-2016 Mini Cooper 4-cylinder 1.6L and other vehicles replaces the chain, tensioner and guides of the engine's timing drive. This engine timing chain kit is made to meet or exceed OE standards in function, fit and performance.
A rattle from the engine on a cold start, a check engine light or rough running can mean the chain, tensioner or guides are worn, though a faulty camshaft position sensor or a weak ignition coil can be behind the light and the rough running.
It also fits the 2011-2016 Mini Cooper Countryman 4-cylinder 1.6L and the 2013-2016 Mini Cooper Paceman 4-cylinder 1.6L.

Is this timing kit for the 2007-2016 Mini Cooper 4-cylinder 1.6L also right for the 2013-2016 Mini Cooper Paceman 4-cylinder 1.6L?
Yes. Gates CHK126 fits the 2013-2016 Mini Cooper Paceman 4-cylinder 1.6L as well as the 2007-2016 Mini Cooper 4-cylinder 1.6L.
Is a water pump included in this timing chain kit?
No. Gates CHK126 contains the timing chain, tensioner, three guides and sprocket, but not the engine water pump.
What chain pitch and width does this kit's steel bush-type chain have?
The chain has an 8 mm pitch, a width of 10 mm (0.4 in) and 138 pins.
Can a rattle on a cold start mean the chain, tensioner or guides in this kit are worn?
Yes, it can. A shop can check the timing drive, and a worn chain should be inspected promptly rather than kept in use.

Every part in the kit is measured and tested for function, fitment and durability.
