Gates Engine Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid P/N:VVS136
Gates VVS322 VVT solenoid for the 2005-2007 Honda Accord V6 3.0L and other vehicles regulates the engine oil that sets valve timing. Also called a variable valve timing solenoid, it is designed to OE specifications in fit, form and performance.
A worn or failing VVT solenoid can show up as a rough idle, lower fuel economy or a check engine light, and other faults can produce the same signs. Before you replace it, look over the connector and housing for cracks or oil seepage with the engine off and cool, and check the oil level. A shop can test the solenoid itself.
This listing is one solenoid, and the 2005-2007 Honda Accord V6 3.0L, the 2006-2008 Honda Pilot V6 3.5L and the 2005-2007 Honda Odyssey V6 3.5L each take one. It is a direct replacement for these vehicles.

Is Gates VVS322 a VVT solenoid for the 2005-2007 Honda Odyssey V6 3.5L?
Yes. Gates VVS322 fits the 2005-2007 Honda Odyssey V6 3.5L, and the Odyssey takes one solenoid.
Does Gates VVS322 work as a VVT solenoid for the 2006-2008 Honda Pilot V6 3.5L?
Yes. Gates VVS322 fits the 2006-2008 Honda Pilot V6 3.5L, and the Pilot takes one solenoid.
Does this VVT solenoid come with a gasket and seal, or do I need to buy bolts?
The solenoid comes with its spool valve and gasket, a sensor and a seal. Mounting hardware is not included, so bolts are bought separately.
What voltage and housing material does this VVT solenoid have?
It runs on 12 volts with electromagnetic activation, and the housing is aluminum.
Can a bad VVT solenoid cause a rough idle or poor fuel economy?
Yes, a failing VVT solenoid can show up that way, though other faults cause the same signs. A shop can test the solenoid, since that test needs the engine running.
