Gates Engine Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Sprocket P/N:VCP843
Gates VCP816 left VVT sprocket for the 2008-2010 Infiniti M45 V8 4.5L and other vehicles rotates to advance or retard valve timing. Commonly called a cam phaser or cam actuator, it is also listed as an engine variable valve timing VVT sprocket.
A worn or failing VVT sprocket can show up as a rattle at startup, a rough idle or a check engine light. A VVT solenoid, a low oil level or a stretched timing chain may be behind those signs too, so find the cause before you buy. The left bank takes one sprocket, and the right bank's sprocket is ordered separately.
It is a direct-fit replacement for the 2008-2010 Infiniti M45 V8 4.5L and the 2008 Infiniti FX45 V8 4.5L, designed to OE specifications in fit, form and performance.
