A coolant leak at the pump, a whining or grinding bearing, or an engine that runs hot can mean the engine water pump is wearing out. With the engine off and cool, look around the pump for coolant stains and feel for side-to-side play at the pulley. A hose or radiator leak can leave similar marks, so find the cause before you replace the pump.

This water pump is a direct-fit replacement for the 2004-2005 Toyota Yaris 4-cylinder 1.3L, the 2006-2018 Yaris 4-cylinder 1.5L and the 2016 Toyota Yaris R 4-cylinder 1.5L. Each engine takes one pump.
