- Magnetics: magnetic size and properties compare to or exceed the OEM motor.
- Windings: built to match or surpass OEM specifications.
- Speed: motor RPM is equivalent to or greater than the OEM motor.
- Configuration: single shaft, vented, CCW rotation, and supplied without a blower wheel.
A blower motor spins the wheel that pushes air across the heater core and A/C evaporator and out through the vents. Signs this part may need replacing include weak or no airflow, a fan that works only some of the time, or squealing or grinding from the blower area. A resistor, switch or wiring fault can cause similar symptoms, so diagnose the cause before replacing the motor. The wheel is not included, so transfer the original wheel or replace it as the service procedure directs.
