When an HVAC recirculation door actuator wears out, the airflow may not change when you move the control, or you may hear clicking from behind the dash. These signs alone do not prove the actuator is the problem; a blown fuse or a loose connector can look much the same.
This actuator is a direct-fit replacement for the 2000-2004 Volkswagen Golf and the 2000-2004 Audi Golf / Golf Alltrack / Golf R / Golf SportWagen, along with other models. If your car is not named here, open the "Vehicles it fits" section and check your exact model and engine.
