Keep your classic GM cruiser planted and controlled with the KYB Gas-a-just Suspension Shock Absorber KG4501, a high-pressure monotube gas shock offered as a front-position replacement. It fits the 1967-1978 Cadillac Eldorado and 1966-1978 Oldsmobile Toronado — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level details.

• Monotube gas design: Two separate working chambers — an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston for a comfortable ride during normal driving and added performance on demand.
• Separated gas and oil: The high-pressure monotube design keeps the gas and oil apart for fade-free operation and instant response, and the higher gas pressure responds quickly to improve steering response.
• Added damping: Adds up to 25% more damping performance over original equipment shocks, with components and valving designed specifically for classic GM cars that work, tow, and run larger, heavier tires and wheels.
• Triple chrome-plated rod: An ultra-smooth triple chrome plated piston rod reduces seal wear, since fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure. Helps keep Electronic Safety Systems performing as designed.

Worn shocks may show up as excessive bounce, nose dive, or poor ride control — if the front shock is the cause, this replaces it. Sold individually; replace both sides together for balanced damping.
