Firm up your ride and restore factory control with the KYB Gas-a-Just Shock Absorber (KG4742), a high-pressure monotube gas shock that drops in as a front OE monotube replacement for the 1996-1999 Mercedes-Benz E300, 1996-2002 Mercedes-Benz E320, 1997 Mercedes-Benz E420, and 1998-2002 Mercedes-Benz E430. This KYB shock absorber uses two separate working chambers to restore your vehicle's original capabilities.

• Twin-chamber design: An air-free hydraulic piston and valve area handles responsiveness and control, while a high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston keeps the ride comfortable during normal driving and adds performance on demand.
• Up to 25% more damping: Adds up to 25% more damping performance over original equipment shocks, with components and valving designed specifically for the Mercedes-Benz E Class.
• Fade-free operation: The high-pressure monotube design separates the gas and oil for fade-free operation and instant response.
• Reduced seal wear: An ultra-smooth triple chrome plated piston rod helps reduce seal wear, since fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure.
