This KYB Gas-a-Just shock absorber has performance advantages over a traditional twin-tube design. It uses two separate working chambers: an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, and a high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston. The gas area supports a comfortable ride in normal driving and adds performance on demand.

• Monotube design: The high-pressure monotube keeps gas and oil apart and is designed for fade-free operation and quick response.
• Triple chrome-plated piston rod: An ultra-smooth rod finish helps reduce seal wear. Fluid leaking can be one cause of shock failure.
• Steering response: The higher gas pressure responds quickly to help improve steering response.
• Extra damping for work: Adds up to 25% more damping than original equipment shocks, for vehicles that work, tow, or run larger, heavier tires and wheels. Components and valving are designed specifically for GM trucks.
