The Gas-a-just uses two separate working chambers: an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, and a high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that provides a comfortable ride during normal driving and adds performance on demand.

This gas shock absorber is built with additional damping over the OE design for vehicles that work, tow, and run larger, heavier tires and wheels. To reduce the chance of noise and vibration, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts, part number SM5220. Sold individually; replacing both sides together is recommended for balanced ride control.
