KYB Suspension Strut Mount Bracket P/N:SM5952
Smooth out road impacts and quiet a rattling front strut with the KYB Suspension Strut Mount Bracket SM5847, a front upper strut mount that drops in as an OE-quality, direct-fit replacement for the 2004-2012 Chevrolet Colorado and 2004-2012 GMC Canyon. This strut mount plate ships with its seat and insulator to reconnect the top of the strut to the body.
Mounted at the top of the front strut, it cushions impacts from road bumps and locates the strut against the body, reducing the jarring, noise and vibration that old, hardened insulators transmit into the cabin. Signs the original may need replacing include a clunk or knock from the strut tower, increased ride harshness, or excess noise and vibration over bumps. If a worn strut mount is the cause of those symptoms, this KYB unit replaces it. Sold individually; replacing the mounts on both sides together is recommended for balanced ride quality.
What does this KYB strut mount do?
It's the front upper mount that connects the top of the strut to the body, with a rubber insulator that cushions road impacts and reduces noise, vibration and harshness.
