KYB Suspension Strut Mount P/N:SM5566
Cushion road impacts and cut cabin vibration with the KYB strut mount SM5046, a direct-fit rear suspension strut mount for the listed applications. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1991-2003 Ford Escort, 1991-1999 Mercury Tracer and 1992-1995 Mazda MX-3; see the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list. It replaces old, hardened vibration insulators that transmit jarring, noise and harshness into the vehicle.
As the strut top mount, it sits between the top of the rear strut and the body, where its superior rubber isolates the suspension to help reduce road noise and vibration in the cabin. Sold individually; strut mounts are commonly serviced in pairs, and replacing both sides of the axle together is recommended.
