It installs in the front-left position as a direct-fit replacement for the 2001-2003 Mazda Protege and the 2002-2003 Mazda Protege5. Excel-G is made on the same KYB OE assembly lines with the same OE-quality components and is calibrated to restore original capability, not change it — the classification KYB calls OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket).
