This nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube gas strut installs in the front right position as a KYB-recommended OEM replacement strut for the 2012-2015 BMW X1 — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level applications. Excel-G is built on the same KYB OE assembly lines using the same OE-quality components and is calibrated to restore original designed performance, not change it, earning it the OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) classification.
