Description

Help restore the designed control and handling of your GM compact with the KYB Excel-G Suspension Strut 338011, a nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube unit built on KYB's OE assembly lines. It installs in the front right position as a KYB-recommended OE replacement strut for the 2009-2011 Chevrolet Aveo, 2010-2011 Chevrolet Aveo5, and 2009-2010 Pontiac G3 — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details.

Nitrogen gas-charged twin-tube design: uses the same OE-quality components found in KYB's global OEM products, earning the Excel-G its OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) classification and calibration to restore original performance, not change it.
Vehicle-specific damping valves: hand-assembled in-house to correctly manage tire contact, steering response and body movement.
Strong, thick strut body and brackets: minimize flex to help maintain correct alignment in all conditions, and help keep electronic safety systems performing as designed.
Triple-lip fluid seal: reduces the chance of oil and gas leaking out.

To reduce the chance of noise and vibration, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts (part number SM5451), and protecting the new strut from dirt, debris and salt with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB101).
