Restore the designed ride control and handling of your truck with the KYB Excel-G Suspension Strut 340028, a nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube front strut that installs as a direct-fit replacement on the 2009-2010 Dodge Ram 1500, 2011-2018 Ram 1500, and 2019-2024 Ram 1500 Classic. Built on the same KYB OE assembly lines using the same OE-quality components, the Excel-G is calibrated to restore original, designed performance rather than change it — earning it KYB's OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) classification.

Twin-tube, nitrogen gas-charged design: includes every quality component found in KYB's global OEM products.
Triple-lip fluid seal: helps reduce the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
Vehicle-specific damping valves: hand-assembled in-house to help manage tire contact, steering response, and body movement.
Strong, thick strut body and bracket: designed to minimize flex and help maintain correct alignment.

By helping restore the suspension to designed performance, the Excel-G also helps keep Electronic Safety Systems working as the vehicle manufacturer intended. To reduce the chance of noise and vibration, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts, part number SM5580 (sold separately).
