Description

Bring back the controlled, planted ride your BMW 7 Series was built with using the KYB Excel-G Suspension Strut (MPN 341211). This nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube unit is a KYB-recommended OEM replacement strut that drops in on the 1995 and 1997-2001 BMW 740i and the 1995-2001 BMW 740iL, and it's built on the same KYB OE assembly lines using the same OE-quality components — the reason KYB classifies Excel-G as OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket).

Nitrogen gas-charged twin-tube design: calibrated to restore the vehicle's original, designed damping rather than change it.
Triple-lip fluid seal: reduces the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
Vehicle-specific damping valves: hand-assembled in-house to help manage tire contact, steering response and body movement.
Strong, thick strut body and brackets: minimize flex to help maintain correct alignment in all conditions.

It features an internal rebound bumper and measures 14.76 in compressed and 22.44 in extended with 7.68 in of stroke. A dust cover and bump stop are not included; protect the strut with a KYB Strut Boot (SB107) and, to reduce the chance of noise and vibration, consider new KYB strut mounts (SM5250).
