Description

Restore the designed control and handling of your BMW 5 Series with the KYB Excel-G Rear Suspension Strut 341840. It's a direct-fit replacement for the 1997-2000 BMW 528I, calibrated to bring the suspension back to its original, designed performance rather than change it — earning Excel-G its OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) classification.

Nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube design: made on the same KYB OE assembly lines using the same OE-quality components, so it includes the components found in KYB's global OEM products.
Triple lip fluid seal: helps reduce the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
Vehicle-specific, hand-assembled damping valves: built in-house to correctly manage tire contact, steering response and body movement, helping keep electronic safety systems performing as designed.
Strong strut bodies and brackets: KYB uses among the thickest strut bodies and brackets in the industry to minimize flex and help maintain correct alignment.

To reduce the chance of noise and vibration, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts (part number SM5251), and protecting your new struts with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB107). This is a KYB recommended OEM replacement strut.
