Improve steering response and help restore controlled ride quality with the KYB Gas-a-just High Pressure Monotube Gas Strut (P/N 5510038), a direct-fit front-left replacement for the 2008-2014 Subaru Impreza. Offered as an OE monotube replacement, it's designed to help restore the vehicle's original control and handling. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment.

High-pressure monotube design: separates the gas and oil for fade-free operation and instant response.
Two working chambers: an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that adds performance on demand while keeping a comfortable ride during normal driving.
Triple chrome-plated piston rod: ultra-smooth rod reduces seal wear; because fluid leaking can be a cause of strut failure, this helps guard against it.
Higher gas pressure: responds quickly to improve steering response and helps keep Electronic Safety Systems performing as designed.

KYB recommends protecting your new strut with Strut Boot SB123 and, to reduce the chance of noise and vibration, installing new Strut Mount SM5664. Sold individually; for even, balanced handling it's best practice to replace the left and right struts as a matched pair.
