Dial in your own ride control with the KYB AGX Damping Rate Adjustable Suspension Strut (P/N 733011), a rear left unit that installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 1993-2001 Subaru Impreza and 1992-1994 Subaru Legacy. This manually adjustable strut lets enthusiasts design their own performance without special tools, quickly and as often as they want — one simple adjustment increases both rebound and compression damping.

  • Manually adjustable: Depending on application, the AGX uses an eight-position knob or a four-position screwdriver slot, and can add up to 125% more damping force on your Subaru.
  • Adjust in place: Externally adjustable without lifting the vehicle or removing the tires.
  • Precision valving: Velocity-sensitive, multi-stage hydraulic valves react to driving conditions to help maintain tire contact and vehicle control on the street or track.
  • Built to last: A seamless working cylinder is matched with a Teflon-coated piston band for a positive seal and longer life; engineered to help vehicles with electronic safety systems (ESC, ABS, etc.).

KYB recommends protecting new struts from dirt, debris and salt with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB102), and installing new strut mounts (part number SM5443) to reduce the chance of noise and vibration. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What vehicles does strut 733011 fit?

It is a direct-fit replacement for the 1993-2001 Subaru Impreza and 1992-1994 Subaru Legacy. Check the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm the exact application for your vehicle.

What position does this strut install in?

This unit is cataloged for the rear left position. Struts are best replaced as a matched pair, so consider ordering the opposite side for balanced ride control.

How is the AGX strut adjusted?

Depending on the application, it uses either an eight-position knob or a four-position screwdriver slot. Both offer the same capability, adjusting rebound and compression damping in one step.

Do I need to lift the car to adjust it?

No. The AGX is externally adjustable without lifting the vehicle or removing the tires, so you can change corner damping quickly and as often as you like.

Should I replace other parts at the same time?

KYB recommends a Strut Boot (SB102) to protect the strut from dirt, debris and salt, and new strut mounts (SM5443) to help reduce the chance of noise and vibration.
