Lakewood Suspension Shock Absorber P/N:40301

Plant the tires and put the power down with the Lakewood 50/50 Series Rear Drag Shock 40301, a street/strip drag shock built to manage rear suspension movement on the launch. It's a direct-fit rear application for many popular AMC, Ford/Mercury, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac vehicles — including the 1962-1974 American Motors Ambassador, 1967-1969 and 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro, 1979-1993 Ford Mustang, 1965-1986 Ford LTD, 1975-1989 Mercury Grand Marquis and 1967-1969 and 1982-1992 Pontiac Firebird; see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list of 48 applications ([All] engines, qty 2).

Part of the 50/50 compression/rebound series, this shock is designed to help maximize front-to-rear weight transfer when paired with front drag struts or shocks, and to help limit wheel hop for better traction. A collapsed length of 12.05 in and extended length of 20.13 in give an 8.08 in stroke, with stud/eyelet mounts.
