Soak up potholes, heavy loads and hard duty cycles with the Monroe Magnum Severe Service Rear Suspension Shock Absorber 550058. This gas-charged, heavy-duty shock is engineered for hardworking emergency, municipal, fleet and jobsite vehicles, and installs as a direct-fit rear replacement for the 2013-2019 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan, 2014-2018 Ford Special Service Police Sedan and 2013-2019 Ford Taurus (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment).

  • Built for fleet duty: 10-stage valving adjusts to road extremes to help handle frequent stops, heavy loads and high miles.
  • Nitrogen gas-charge: maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade.
  • Strong and durable: double welded, including arc welds up to 360 degrees, with a shouldered bushing and bonded bushing on most applications.
  • Longer service life: heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod (on most applications) and sintered iron piston, plus a larger bore, 2-in. reserve tube and 0.05-in. pressure tube that hold more oil for controlled ride.

OE all-weather fluid with special modifiers helps handle extreme temperatures and reduce friction for smooth rod reaction, while the PTFE-banded piston helps reduce friction between the piston and pressure tube for responsive, smooth operation.
