Help keep your hardworking commercial chassis riding steady with the Monroe Magnum 66692 rear suspension shock absorber. • Consistent ride: All-weather fluid carries special additives that help with extreme temperatures and reduce oil breakdown. When required, a 2-in. or 2-1/4-in. reserve tube holds more fluid.
• Handling and damping: On most applications, 10-stage valving tuned to each vehicle adjusts to road extremes. A larger 1-3/8-in. bore gives more efficient damping control.
• Strong and durable: A shouldered bushing and a bonded bushing with sleeve help protect against bushing walkout. Arc welds reach up to 360°.
• Longer service life: On most applications, a PTFE-coated bearing reduces friction between the rod and rod guide and works with a nitrocarburized piston rod. Also on most applications, a hydraulic lock-out helps prevent air-bag over-extension, piston top-out and seal-assembly damage.

The nitrogen gas charge is intended to reduce aeration and shock fade, which helps maintain tire-to-road contact. The shock is also designed to isolate impact-related noise, vibration and harshness under most driving conditions. Signs a rear shock may need replacing include excessive bouncing, fluid leaking from the shock body, uneven tire wear and excessive vibration.
