MOOG Chassis Products Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly P/N:RK620492
MOOG Chassis Products Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly P/N:RK620492
$119.99

Engineered for structural strength and corrosion protection, the MOOG RK620492 control arm with ball joint is a front left lower rearward assembly that links the wheel assembly to the chassis and moves with the suspension as the wheel travels. It fits many vehicles, among them the 2006-2012 Ford Fusion, 2007-2012 Lincoln MKZ and 2006-2011 Mercury Milan. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.

MOOG designs its premium control arms for foreign and domestic nameplates, and this Ford Fusion lower control arm brings these features to the job:

  • Carbon fiber-reinforced bearing: Induction-hardened studs work with a patent-pending carbon fiber-reinforced bearing that MOOG says reduces socket friction compared with typical non-reinforced bearings, for longer socket life. The hardened studs are designed to maximize strength, resist breakage and improve fatigue life.
  • Pre-installed dust boot seal: Forms a barrier that helps keep dirt, water and other wear-causing contaminants out.
  • Added corrosion protection: Specially engineered coatings on the metal surfaces help inhibit premature deterioration from rain, snow, salt and road grime.
  • Premium bushings: Pre-installed with optimized stiffness to help inhibit noise for a comfortable ride.

Installation hardware is included, and precision tolerances are intended to make installation and steering alignment straightforward. A laser-etched ID identifies it as genuine MOOG.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this Ford Fusion control arm fit a 2012 Fusion?

Yes. It is listed for the 2006-2012 Ford Fusion and also fits the 2007-2012 Lincoln MKZ and 2006-2011 Mercury Milan. The Buyer's Guide tab shows every listed vehicle.

What does a control arm and ball joint assembly do?

The arm links the wheel assembly to the chassis and pivots on its bushings as the suspension moves. The ball joint provides a flexible pivot so the parts can move while staying connected.

Which position does MOOG RK620492 install in?

It is the front left lower rearward control arm. It is sold individually, and replacing both sides together as a matched pair is recommended.

What comes in the box?

The arm comes assembled with its ball joint, pre-installed bushings and a pre-installed dust boot seal. MOOG also includes the hardware needed for installation.

What are signs this control arm may need replacing?

Signs include clunking over bumps, loose or wandering steering, uneven tire wear, a torn ball joint boot or worn bushings. Diagnose the cause first, and have the alignment checked after installation.
