NTK catalogs this part as an air charge, intake manifold air and engine coolant temperature sensor. It sends an analog signal to the ECM to help maintain the proper air/fuel ratio. In coolant applications, that signal also helps run the cooling fan(s) and the temperature gauge. It is designed to match OE form, fit and function.

Signs this sensor may need replacing: A lit check engine light, an erratic or dead temperature gauge, erratic or no cooling fan operation, or engine overheating. If a failed sensor is the cause, EF0008 replaces it.
