• The Camshaft Position Sensor plays a vital role in your engine's operation; to determine the exact position and speed of the camshaft(s) to the ECM. The ECM uses this information to determine fuel and spark timing as well as VVT operation. A failed sensor can result in a check engine light, hard starting or failure to start, increased vehicle emissions and engine misfire.
