Reconnect your throttle to the transmission's downshift mechanism with the Pioneer Automatic Transmission Detent Cable CA-1941. It is a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications, including the 1976-1977 Oldsmobile Omega, 1977 Pontiac Bonneville, 1978-1979 Buick Regal, 1978-1980 Chevrolet Malibu and 1978-1980 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

The detent cable links the throttle linkage to the automatic transmission's detent (downshift) mechanism, so the transmission can respond to throttle position. If a stretched, frayed, kinked or binding cable is behind a missing full-throttle downshift, this cable replaces it.
