Pioneer Automotive Industries Automatic Transmission Flexplate P/N:FRA-147
Pioneer Automotive Industries FRA-120 automatic transmission flexplate for the 1974-1979 Jeep Cherokee and other vehicles connects the crankshaft to the torque converter. It is a replacement plate designed to restore OEM levels of performance.
A cracked plate, vibration, or grinding when you start the engine can mean the flexplate is worn, though the starter or the torque converter can be behind the same signs, so find the cause first. Each engine takes one flexplate.
The 1974-1979 Jeep Cherokee, the 1974-1979 Jeep J10 and the 1974-1979 Jeep J20 take this flexplate, and so do other vehicles. Look up your own vehicle in the "Vehicles it fits" section further down this page.
