Pioneer Automotive Industries Automatic Transmission Flexplate P/N:FRA-452
Pioneer Automotive Industries FRA-438 automatic transmission flexplate for the 1997-2003 Ford F-150 and other vehicles connects the engine crankshaft to the torque converter. It is a replacement designed to restore OEM levels of performance.
A worn or cracked flexplate can show up as a grinding noise when the engine starts, a rattle near the bell housing or vibration at idle. A failing starter motor, a damaged torque converter or a loose engine mount can be behind those signs too, so find the cause before buying. Each engine takes one flexplate.
This flexplate also fits the 1997-2003 Ford Expedition and the 1997-1999 Ford F-250, among a wide range of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models.
