Pioneer offers its transmission repair kits in four levels: Overhaul, Banner, Master and Super Kit. Each is a premium pre-packaged kit for a transmission service. The Master Kit brings together the following parts:
- Friction and steel plates: Friction clutch plates and steel plates are included for rebuilding clutch packs.
- Seals and gaskets: The kit contains gaskets, seals, O-rings, a pan gasket, rubber lip seals, metal clad seals and sealing rings.
- Application-specific components: Additional parts specific to the application are also packed in the kit.
- Conditions addressed: Pioneer lists heavy slipping caused by worn clutches or worn or damaged steel plates. It also lists resealing a transmission because of leaks or disassembly.
Slipping and fluid leaks can have more than one cause. Diagnose the transmission before you rebuild it. If worn clutches, damaged steel plates or failed seals are the cause, this kit supplies replacements for those parts.
