Keep your gear selector connected to the transmission with the Pioneer Automotive Industries automatic transmission shifter cable, part number CA-1249. It installs as a direct replacement for the 2007-2009 Buick Allure, 2007-2009 Buick LaCrosse, and 2007-2011 Chevrolet Impala. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine details.
The shifter cable links the shift lever in the cabin to the transmission, so each position you select at the lever is passed along to the transmission. Pioneer builds this cable as a high-quality replacement alternative, made to OE specs.
A shifter cable may need replacing if the gear indicator no longer lines up with the selected gear, the shift lever feels loose or sloppy, the lever is hard to move into or out of Park, or the lever moves without changing gears. Diagnose the cause first. If a worn or stretched cable is the problem, CA-1249 replaces it.
