Pioneer Automotive Industries Carburetor Accelerator Cable P/N:CA-8406
Put a fresh link between the gas pedal and the carburetor with the Pioneer Carburetor Accelerator Cable CA-8408. It connects the accelerator pedal to the carburetor throttle linkage and is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 1986-1987 Dodge D100, the 1980-1987 Dodge D150 and the 1981-1987 Dodge D250.
An accelerator cable slides back and forth inside its housing every time the pedal moves. With age, the cable can fray or kink and the housing can crack. A pedal that feels stiff or sticks can be a sign the cable may need replacing, as can a throttle that is slow to return to idle or visible damage to the cable. Before you replace the cable, check the throttle linkage and return springs as well. If a worn cable is the cause, CA-8408 replaces it.
This cable also fits many other Dodge and Plymouth trucks. For the full list and engine details, see the Buyer's Guide tab.
