Rancho Suspension Shock Absorber P/N:RS55256
Help your truck handle better on and off road with the Rancho shock absorber RS55190, a rear RS5000X suspension shock built around Rancho's exclusive Cross Tuned technology. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1988-1999 Chevrolet C1500, 1988-1999 Chevrolet K1500 and 1995-2000 Chevrolet Tahoe. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
A Compression Control Valve, custom-tuned for each vehicle, regulates fluid transfer to absorb impacts without disc flutter and help maintain shock motion control. The application-specific piston has an expanded area for more control of shock motion, and its fluon band helps it respond to changing road conditions. A low-friction, self-lubricating seal retains gas and oil. A polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings help absorb ride harshness. Replacing both rear shocks together is recommended for even, balanced handling. This Rancho absorber is backed by Rancho's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

What are signs my rear shocks may need replacing?
Common signs include excessive bouncing after bumps, fluid leaking from the shock body, an unstable ride and uneven tire wear. Inspect the suspension to confirm the cause before replacing.
