Standard Ignition ABS Relay,Accessory Delay Relay,Accessory Power Relay,Accessory Safety Relay P/N:RY-531
When a circuit needs a dependable switch, the STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS relay RY-282 (also written RY282) is made for that job. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 1999-2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 1994-1999 Chevrolet K1500. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list of applications.
A relay is an electrically operated switch. A small control signal triggers the relay, which then switches power to a higher-current circuit. This lets a light-duty switch or control module turn a heavier electrical load on and off.
Signs that a relay may need replacing include a circuit that fails to switch on, works only intermittently, or stays on after it should shut off. Wiring, fuses and switches can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the circuit before replacing the relay. If the relay is the cause, RY-282 replaces it.
