Description

Take on both pavement and trail with a Rancho shock absorber built around Rancho's exclusive Cross Tuned technology. The RS5000X RS55113 pairs a rebound valving system with an advanced compression phase, designed to improve overall on- and off-road handling and performance. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler, 1961-1964 Ford F-250 and 1998-2004 Nissan Frontier. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list. Progressive Engagement Valving: custom-tuned for each vehicle to help reduce initial impacts at low speeds and minimize a rough ride.
Compression Control Valve: also custom-tuned per vehicle, it regulates fluid transfer to absorb impacts without disc flutter and help maintain control of shock motion.
Strong and durable: a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, double-welded loops at stress areas, a 35mm sintered iron piston for structural integrity and a polyvinyl protective boot.
Reduces fade: nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI minimizes air-to-oil mixing to reduce damping fade and foaming.

The large 2 1/4-inch twin-tube body is filled with all-weather fluid for cooler operation and is built to withstand internal temperatures of -40 to 248°F. A polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings help absorb ride harshness, and the fluon-banded piston responds to changing road conditions. A low-friction, self-lubricating seal retains gas and oil for quicker rebound and smoother compression. This Rancho absorber is backed by Rancho's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
