Schaeffler offers this manual transmission seal in its shaft seal line, and it is also cataloged as a transfer case output shaft seal. The seal body stays stationary in its bore while the sealing lip rides against the rotating output shaft. This helps hold lubricant inside the housing and keep outside contaminants out.
