It is a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications, including the 2001-2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2001-2007 GMC Sierra 1500, 2002-2007 Cadillac Escalade, 1998-2005 Chevrolet Blazer, 1998-2000 Dodge Durango and 1998-2001 Oldsmobile Bravada.

The seal body stays stationary while its lip rides on the turning rear output shaft. This helps keep lubricant in and contaminants out. The same part is cataloged as both a transfer case output shaft seal and a transfer case extension housing seal.
