Description

Raise your rear hatch with smooth, controlled motion using the Stabilus Liftgate Lift Support 4B-014232. This gas-charged Lift-O-Mat unit measures 22.32 inches and drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2005-2010 Kia Sportage, using dynamic damping speed control and an internal compression spring to release the liftgate from the latch and hold it open.

Dynamic damping speed control: gas flow is regulated by a longitudinal groove (velocity manifold) pressed into the tube wall, creating a fluid opening motion with no bouncing or jerking, and a gentle, controlled stop at the end of the stroke.
Integrated lift assist: an internal mechanical spring compresses in the closed position to give an added boost off the latch during initial opening.
Corrosion-resistant coatings: part coatings are tested to automotive standards for corrosion resistance.
